Yellow Garri/White Garri/Snacking Garri

Garri is the granular flour obtained by processing the starchy tuberous roots of freshly harvested cassava. Our Garri is fully fermented and sieved resulting in fine grains. We control the entire manufacturing process from cultivating the cassava, harvesting, processing, frying and packaging ensuring our final products maintain their nutritional contents such as fiber, copper and magnesium.

Our garri is processed from cassava grown in the Obiji farms. The cassava plants are watered year-round with the waste water from our fish ponds. This ensures greater yield from the cassava and eliminates the use of artificial fertilizers. The processing of the cassava into garri is done at our processing plant purpose-built for the processing of cassava.

Our smoked snails are hygienically cleaned and smoked over firewood to give a smoky flavor. Before being smoked, the snails are spiced with salt and pepper

Our ukwa goes through home-style processing, sun-dried and sieved of sand and remnant skin to get the Ukwa fresh. The aroma stays intact and cooks quickly. 

Our ukwa seeds are handpicked and sun dried, this ensures it maintains its rich color, scent and nutrients. It’s high nutrient content makes it a nutrient rich food for everyone

Obiji Red Palm Oil is organic, farm sourced, unrefined and expeller pressed. The palm oil has zero cholesterol, no additives or preservatives and is sustainably sourced.

Obiji Bleached Palm Oil is a healthy alternatively to vegetable oils. It can be used for making Ayamase or Ofada stew.

 

The oil is packaged neatly to ensure the contents remain in good condition for a very long time. We currently package our oil in one, two, three, four and five liter bottles

ABACHA also know as African Salad is native to the Igbo people. Our Abacha stands out because they are handpicked for impurities and have long strands.

ACHI serves an emulsifier and thickener for traditional soups in Nigeria. It is a flat brown seed, which is crushed into a powered form. Our Achi is processed from scratch, the seeds undergo proper cleaning, drying before grinding and packaging.

AKANWU which is also known as Potash is an oil thickener used in preparing many Nigerian dishes, like abacha, ugba and nkwobi. Akanwu is a type of lake salt (sodium carbonate) that is dry and hydrated. It is an alkaline salt that is a mixture of different minerals.

DRIED OHA LEAVES, (Pterocarpus mildbraedii) is a popular vegetable native to the Igbos in Nigeria. “Oha” or “Ora” is the Igbo name while the English name is the African Rosewood plant. The leaves of this plant are medicinal and are most commonly used to make Oha soup. PEPPER SOUP SPICE

 

OBIJI PEPPERSOUP SPICE is a made from by combining all the necessary spices needed to make peppersoup. It is made with Ehuru, Uda, Jansa, and Uziza. Our pepper soup spice is very concentrated, requiring very little quantity to get a desired taste. There are no bulking agents and the constituting

spices are in adequate proportions.

CAMEROON PEPPER/RED PEPPER

OBIJI CAMEROON & RED PEPPER are two distinct products. The red pepper is sourced from Northern Nigeria; a specie popularly called “Tatashe”. It is cleaned and crushed, but not very fine. Our Cameroon Pepper is made from a black pepper specie sourced from Cameroon. Of the both products, the Cameroon pepper is hotter and adds flavor while cooking.

Obiji makes it’s product by handpicking the beans for impurities, soaking the beans and its skin gently removed by hand. This ensures the grains are not broken during processing.
